Products & selection
What products do you supply?
Tongue & Groove Supply Co. supplies Synergy prefinished wood products, including Red Grandis, Southern Pine, E-Peck textured products, and coordinated moldings and trim. T&G also currently supplies Thermally Modified Ash exterior siding.
How do Red Grandis and Southern Pine differ?
Red Grandis generally reads cleaner and more refined, while Southern Pine shows more knots and expressive grain. The right choice depends on the design, application, finish, and level of natural variation you want to see.
What is E-Peck?
E-Peck is a proprietary textured treatment applied to Red Grandis or Southern Pine. Either supported base may use its current stain colors. The ten photographed boards are exact examples, not the full availability universe, and T&G does not provide physical E-Peck samples.
What is Thermally Modified Ash Siding?
It is clear-grade Ash treated with controlled heat, low oxygen, and steam to improve dimensional stability and resistance to decay and insect damage. The current special-run batch is factory oiled on all sides and has a reversible V-Joint and Nickel-Joint profile.
Will the installed wood look exactly like the website image?
No two real-wood boards are identical. Website images show representative color and variation, while lighting, screens, grain, and natural material differences affect appearance. A physical sample is the best final reference.
Samples, takeoffs & quotes
Can I request physical sample boards?
Yes. Share the species, finishes, and application you are considering. You may request up to four finish directions so they can be compared under project lighting.
Can you prepare a material takeoff from plans?
Yes. T&G can review plans and project dimensions to help quantify the material package. Clear plans, selected areas, product choices, and current field information produce the most useful result.
What information helps you prepare a quote?
Useful starting information includes the project location, application areas, approximate square footage or plans, species, finish, profile, trim needs, and desired timing.
Are prices listed online?
No. Pricing depends on species, finish, profile, quantity, trim, freight or delivery, and current project requirements. T&G prepares project-specific quotes so the package and assumptions are clear.
Can I request a Thermally Modified Ash sample?
No. T&G does not provide physical Ash samples. Review the product photography and send a pricing and availability request so T&G can confirm remaining quantity, usable length mix, and project requirements.
Delivery & installation
Do you install the material?
No. T&G is a material supplier and does not install. We support product selection, samples, takeoffs, quoting, trim coordination, and fulfillment. A qualified installer is responsible for field conditions, layout, fastening, cuts, penetrations, transitions, and the completed installation.
Do you deliver?
T&G can coordinate direct local or regional delivery, freight shipping, local pickup, or coordinated pickup. Availability and terms depend on the project location, order, access, schedule, and timing.
Can these products be used outside?
Selected Synergy products may suit protected covered exterior ceilings as well as interior applications. Confirm the exact product, exposure, site conditions, and current written manufacturer guidance before ordering.
How long does an order take?
Timing varies by product, finish, quantity, and current availability. Confirm the lead time shown on the specific quote before scheduling installation.
Is Thermally Modified Ash waterproof or maintenance free?
No. Thermal modification improves stability and durability, but the wood and wall assembly still require proper exterior detailing and installation. The factory oil weathers over time, and periodic maintenance is required when retaining the original color is part of the design intent.
Working with T&G
What makes T&G different from a general building-material supplier?
T&G focuses on the prefinished wood package. We help resolve species, finish, profile, application, trim, and project scope together before material is ordered.
How does T&G help reduce ordering surprises?
We make included areas and quote assumptions visible before an order is placed. When plans, selections, or field information leave a gap, we identify what needs confirmation.
What happens if the project changes?
Selections, quantities, application areas, and timing can evolve. T&G can revise the proposed package before ordering and help align the updated scope, trim needs, and delivery expectations.
Can I update my plans or selections?
Yes. Send the revised plans or selections before ordering so we can update the quote and confirm any change in availability or timing.
Need an answer for a specific project?
